Marcella Swigart (RN) is a 1997 graduate of Shady Side School of Nursing. She is ACLS certified and has worked extensively with cardiac and acute trauma cases for the past 7 years. She works at Southpointe Chiropractic and Fitness by providing advanced cardiac screening and coordinates the laboratory portion of our nutritional programs.
Leslie Julius (BS, CPT) began her personal training career in May of 2007. She has certification from the International Sports Sciences Association and the American Association of Fitness Professionals. Leslie is a 2008 graduate of Auburn University with a degree in Exercise Science. She will continue her education with the Doctoral of Physical Therapy program at University of Pittsburgh beginning in June of 2009.
Marylou Heiser (RN, BSN) Is a graduate of Citizens General Hospital School of Nursing New Kensington Pennsylvania, and Laroche College Pittsburgh with a Bachelor of Science in nursing. Marylou has worked in various areas of nursing including: Hospital acute care, Occupational and Rehabilitation medicine, Pharmaceuticals, and as a Clinical Instructor in RN School of Nursing. For relaxation, Marylou enjoys reading, music, movies, and walking. Marylou lives in South Fayette with her husband Richard and dog Hannah.
Jim Kostra (MS, HF)I Hails from the University of Pittsburgh where he earned three degrees, a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, another Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science, and a Masters of Science in Exercise Physiology. Jim has been working in the fitness industry for over ten years, where he trained every level competitor from beginner to professional athlete. Jim is currently a certified personal trainer by the American College of Exercise and Health Fitness Instructor by the American College of Sports Medicine. Whether your goal is to drop a few pounds, build strength, increase sport specific performance, improve functional fitness, or to simply live a healthier life, Jim can help you achieve your fitness goals.
Michelle Roberts Bam (CMT) Earned her Bachelor of Arts from California University of Pennsylvania and studied medical massage at the Community College of Allegheny County. She has been a massage therapist since 1994. Michelle practices many types of massage from acupressure, myofascial trigger point therapy, and active release.
